MYTH, MONSTERS AND MAGIC Ages 7-10 |
---|
15-28 July 2018 (2 weeks) |
“Double, double, toil and trouble; fire burn and cauldron bubble…” Join us this year as we explore the mysterious and magical worlds of Harry Potter, Macbeth, Frankenstein and King Arthur. We learn about quests, witchcraft, wizardry and knights of the realm and debate ideas of good vs. evil and destiny vs. choice. See what it takes to become one of Arthur’s knights of the round table and learn how Frankenstein’s monster was created, all at The Summer Academy’s very own version of Hogwarts!
This fun course develops all aspects of our students’ English from debating to creative writing to literary analysis and comprehension. With British history added to the mix, it is a full immersion programme in English language and culture. We expect each student to leave the course with a new confidence in their abilities and perspective on their learning.
